[Remark: Governor general Lord Tweedsmuir passed away on 11/02/1940 at the Montreal Neurological Hospital. He died from a head injury inflicted in a fall at Rideau Hall.] Procession led by Prime minister William Lyon Mackenzie King and members of cabinet moving along Wellington Street, including Governor general's Foot Guards. Sequence on hearse and pallbearers in front of Peace Tower, coffin being carried into Parliament Buildings. Flag-draped coffin being carried out of building, huge crowd in front of Parliament, cars arriving to take members of Commons and Cabinet Ministers to grave service (13/02/1940).
