In an interview, Anne Hébert says she appreciates the Parisian life that allows her to see some excellent plays every day. She talks about the difficulty for Quebec writers to be published in France and to be well known to the French public. She admires the simplicity with which the people of France use the language and express inner truths. Finally, she considers that distance allows her to have a better vision of Canada.
