Various CUs of RCMP constables, members of crew, Kakto, Police native employed by RCMP and of Inuit natives. Shots of RCMP unloading supplies, erecting a few buildings and hoisting flag at Craig Harbour. Various shots of men in boats navigating among ice floes. The same routines are gone through at Dundas Harbour on Devon Island, culminating in the ceremony of the flag. Sub-detachment and necessary supplies are landed at Fram Fjord, Ellesmere Island.
