VAR of newly-born grasshopper mice stirring in their underground nest; mother appearing (mostly out of focus). VAR of pink and still blind babies at mother's feet, mother mouse grooming herself. Mother suddenly starting to relocate babies one at a time to another location in underground burrow. VAR of gila monster appearing at underground den, then swallowing a baby mouse. After it finds no other, gila monster begins to sniff air. VAR of gila monster finding another baby and eating it, repeating process until apparently all babies are gone.
