MCU LA A small Japanese giant hornet (Vespa mandarinia japonica) nest is partially filled with larvae and pupae. It hangs from ceiling of underground burrow. Hornets poke heads into cells of nest to look after and feed young. They also interact with each other, seeming to pass something between them.
