He curls bark upward along frame. CS, he cuts bark with knife to form tip of canoe. CS, he levels height of bark with knife on one side. CS, he pokes holes in bark at one end to insert wooden pin. CU, he runs spruce root lace through hole in bark to tie it to gunwale along side of canoe. CU, he pierces bark to thread spruce root lace and wrap it around gunwale. MS, he cuts pieces of bark with knife to round them off and form end of canoe. CS, he does same with top of canoe end. MS and ZOOM IN, he threads spruce root laces through canoe frame to attach parts of canoe point.
