VARIOUS SHOTS of a work detail made up of schoolchildren. Two teams of children come out of a school and line up in front of their respective flag-bearers. Some are holding shovels, pickaxes or spades; others are holding baskets. After getting their instructions from a teenager, they surround a building and work really hard, some carrying sand in their baskets or in wheelbarrows, others trying to dig up piles, under the watchful eye of adult supervisors. A group of schoolchildren is sweeping a flat area, while a young girl is spraying the area with water.
