VARIOUS SHOTS of the arrival by boat in St. John’s, Newfoundland in winter. We can see the small houses typical of the region built into the sides of the cliffs that line both sides of the entrance to the harbour. We can also see the buildings and trawlers berthed at the wharf of the High Liner seafood company as well as those of Newfoundland Steamships Limited. As we enter the port, we have a partial, faraway view of life in St. John’s, Newfoundland. The trawler, the Irving Birch, from Saint John, New Brunswick is flying the Canadian flag and the Irving company’s flag.
