Vernon, British Columbia, VARIOUS SHOTS of Kenny McLean. Originally from the Okanagan Valley and winner of 14 championships, he is still Canada’s most famous rodeo cowboy. He is competing in the Vernon Rodeo in the tie-down roping competition. He hog-ties a steer, gets down off his horse, and tries to throw the steer to the ground but the animal is defending itself well. McLean finally succeeds, ties three of the steer’s limbs together as quickly as possible, gets up, and goes back to his horse as he waves to the crowd.
