VARIOUS SHOTS of a hospital room, with a patient lying down. He is about to be treated with a “cobalt bomb” (radiation therapy). A technician adjusts the machine, then consults with the doctor. The doctor then speaks to the patient. The medical staff ensure the “bomb” is properly placed over the target drawn on the patient’s bare chest. CLOSE UP of the patient’s face. From a distance, a nurse activates a lever that raises and lowers the “bomb.”
