Various shots of Canadian Sugar Factories in Alberta. Its smokestacks are emitting big clouds of white smoke. Factory is surrounded by high piles of beet roots. Various activities of gathering and transporting beet roots with front-end loaders and trucks. Beet roots are dumped on conveyor leading inside factory after having been cleaned with powerful spray of water. Central room of factory with all its machinery can be seen. Sliced beets are loaded onto conveyor. Worker turns handle of machine into which beets transformed into thick, white liquid are poured. Machine fills thick paper bags bearing Alberta Sugar name and logo and places them on conveyor belt where they file by. Outside factory, men load big burlap bags full of sugar into back of truck.
