VARIOUS SHOTS, Alcan aluminum smelter, Arvida. Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, on an official trip to Canada in 1959, leave the largest aluminum smelter in the world, which they have just toured. The royal couple gets into a Cadillac Series 75 Limousine Bubble-Top, bearing a pennant with the royal colours. The vehicle is surrounded by applauding factory workers. Near the car is Alcan president Edward Davis, who served as the royal couple’s tour guide. The cortege gets underway.
