Various shots of Esterhazy, Saskatchewan. Standing on edge of large ore skip hanging from heavy chains, miners descend into pit of International Minerals and Chemicals Corporation’s new potash mine. Water runs from ceiling, creating a sort of slurry when it mixes with potash ore. Crane picks up slurry and dumps it in skip. Miners chip ore off side of pit with long picks and knock it to the ground. Workers stop to let crane scoop up mix of water and ore. They show the camera two very large pieces of ore, which they observe with interest and amusement.
