A sign labeled Gander International Airport is shown. An Esso fuel truck drives away from a Bell 47 helicopter, adapted for medical evacuation. The Bell 47's rotor begins to turn. It is shown on the runway, not far from a Lockheed Constellation whose propellers are turning. The helicopter takes off and it is shown in flight. AERIAL SHOT of ice over a stretch of water and craggy rocks. Various shots of the helicopter landing near a small, isolated village along the coast. It comes for a young man brought out on a stretcher. Onlookers surround the helicopter while the stretcher is installed in the stretcher compartment on the side of the helicopter. The helicopter takes off and flies to Come By Chance Cottage Hospital, where it lands nearby. The medical staff and nurse are waiting and move toward it as soon as it lands to do a preliminary examination of the patient. The stretcher is taken into the hospital and the patient is placed in a room and seen by a doctor and a nurse.
