Various shots, British Columbia, 1954. In a plywood production plant, sheets of plywood go by on a conveyor belt, watched by a worker. The sheets are cut into identically sized pieces by another machine. Two workers pile the sheets into stacks. Women wearing gloves feed thin strips of plywood into a machine that glues them together. Two workers monitor the production of large rolls of plywood. Details of the operation are shown. The large rolls are lifted by crane using chains attached to their ends. A worker wearing a cap and gloves takes sheets of plywood from racks and piles them into stacks that are then wrapped and taken away by forklift.
