Various shots, Nova Scotia, 1954. Trucks loaded with barite ore unload their cargo at a processing plant. The ore falls into a hopper and onto a conveyor belt. It is rinsed with powerful jets of water and inspected. Details of various pieces of equipment are shown. A man, sitting on a sliding seat, monitors four bags being filled at once; as soon as one is full, it is replaced by an empty one. Full bags fall into a trap at his right and land on a conveyor belt, which takes them to a chute, where they slide down. The bags bear the name and logo of Canadian Industries Minerals Ltd.
